The Wynnstay - Machynlleth

It was a really really nice experience. Accommodation was big size and atmospheric, beds were very comfy. The location was marvellous, only 5 minutes walk to War Memorial. It was set in a pretty nice area. The folks working here were pleasant. The breakfast was tasty, the check in was smooth.

The standard double room felt cozy with historical charm, especially the ancient beam across the ceiling. The bed was super comfy, and i appreciated the ample supply of tea and coffee. The staff were genuinely friendly and eager to help.

Charming Stay with Room for Improvement

The hotel exudes historical charm, but certain rooms could use an update. I enjoyed a lovely dinner at the nearby White Lion. Their menu is good. A word of advice, request a room away from the boiler for a quieter night's sleep. A quaint experience.

Ask about the unique local wine selection at breakfast. the staff can provide amazing recommendations that you might otherwise miss.

A large twin room provided a comfortable stay, complemented by a clean bathroom. Enjoyed a delicious breakfast with perfectly poached smoked haddock. A touch of TLC is needed at the hotel, as it felt slightly worn in areas. The warm welcome and absence of noise during the night were definite highlights.

I stayed one night in a single room and it was great! Super clean and quiet, I actually slept like a baby. The shower was perfect, and the staff were so friendly. Food at the restaurant was solid, loved the vibes. Just a bit of creaky floorboards, slightly annoying.
